Series Spotlight: Laurie Reviews N.M. Silber’s Lawyers In Love

Synopsis

Once upon a time two lawyers fell in love across a courtroom …

Gabrielle Ginsberg was a public defender with plenty of nerve and Braden Pierce was an assistant district attorney with a whole lot of swagger. Gabrielle wanted Braden and Braden wanted Gabrielle.

And Cameron wanted Gabrielle.

And Marla wanted Braden.

And Cole wanted Gabrielle.

And Mrs. Mason wanted Braden.

And an anonymous letter writer wanted to keep Gabrielle and Braden apart.

Together Gabrielle and Braden discovered many important things, like which doors at the courthouse actually locked, and that desks could be useful for more than writing. They also found out that the path of love was not always smooth, and it was sometimes tread upon by some really wacky people, like a confused fanny grabber, an eighty-two year old pothead and a gentleman who threw a wine and cheese party in his pants. Could true love overcome a lack of privacy, interference by jealous rivals and the insanity of the criminal court system?

Review

If there is one thing I learned from Law of Attraction? Is that N. M. Silber can flat-out write funny and sassy banter. I loved this book for that and also, because each of the cases were hilariously funny.

Gabriele Ginsburg and Braden Pierce were magnetically attracted to each other and lucky us, we get to watch this relation grow before our very eyes. The in’s and out’s of how they balanced work and and their voracious appetite for each other – short answer they didn’t and that’s part of the fun in this book. There is also a madcap caper that will have you laughing so hard, you can’t breathe.

Law of Attraction a had little of everything — humor, romance, crime & punishment and some hot and steamy courthouse sex. But at its heart, this book is a love story and love it, I did.

Come join the fun as the sexiest couple in the Philadelphia Criminal Court System shares more witty banter and red hot lovin’ with a dash of mystery thrown in. The story that began with The Law of Attraction concludes with lots of love and laughter in The Home Court Advantage.

Review
The Home Court Advantage is more Gabby and Braden fun, but we also get a twist of Lily and Adam. It’s a hilarious romp with madcap antics woven in. This book is so damn funny, but it’s more. Gabrielle and Braden’s love story is full of adoration, respect and so much humor. The Home Court Advantage is one of those books you love going back to read for all of those things and more.

“Legal Briefs is equal parts sexy and funny. N.M. Silber is becoming my go to author when I want to laugh and swoon at the same time.” Sawyer Bennett, USA Today bestselling author of the Legal Affairs serial.

Review

I don’t always pick favorite books of a series, but I have to say that Legal Briefs has a very special place in my heart. Because I adore stories about couples who have known each other since forever and fall in love – Legal Briefs is all that and more. I am going to use the word “LOVE” a whole bunch here – if the superlative fits, use it. But it was so wonderful being able to watch this relationship unfold and getting to see how this couple really has loved each other forever.

Lily Adler and Adam Roth are that couple and reading their story was just full of swoony moments for me. The moment that each realized their childhood fights and bickering were just acts of affection and that they had always been in love was just adorable to me. Watching their relationship grow from there? Priceless.

Legal Briefs has a courtroom action and capers. One of my favorite movies is the Barbra Streisand comedy, “What’s Up Doc” – If you haven’t seen it, get it. It’s hilarious. Anyway, Legal Briefs is reminiscent of that and it makes me laugh and smile in the same way. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Review

Legally Wed was a joy to read. Super-sexy, uproariously funny and at its very heart, a sweet and wonderful love story. N. M. Silber captured Adam and Lily’s story and worked hard to stay true to it. These two characters were very genuine, and as the reader went with them on their wedding journey, they felt all of the emotions right along with the future Mr. and Mrs. Adam Roth.

I love a wedding story and was richly rewarded in this book. Adam and Lily’s ceremony was my very favorite element of this book. For those of us who have never attended a Jewish wedding ceremony, we got a very poignant description from our author. The reader got a greater understanding of the traditions and culture, as well as the religious significance of each facet of the ceremony. It’s in this that the readers truly felt the love and devotion between these two characters.
